Topic: Humans: rational, irrational, evolutive ... which humans will we see in the future?
A discussion in progress has suggested me a "late night thought".

I see that there are two main visions regarding the evolution of the human society.

One which would focus ourselves on our rational essence.

An other which wouldn't limit human nature and which would keep on involving the irrational/spiritual part of us.

My personal opinion is that I prefer a complete human being, who cohabits with the rational and the irrational aspects of his own being, involving them in forming the society in which we will live.

On the other hand, considering [from a rational point] the present society, we could think that this mix is not working so well.

It's also true that in history humans have already tried and do a "rational society" [just think to French Revolution]. And it's also true that spirituality is anyway well present among us .... in a lot of forms.

So the two perceptions of the evolution of the human society are not so easy to become compatible, if the second don't exclude totally the first one [the rational one], anyway it limit its nature. And it's clear that the first one excludes the second.

Will rationality find a way to involve the whole human being without generating a sense of incompleteness? I wonder ...

I think that a system approach can help here.

I see the individual as a variable monitor which moves between the two minds [which actually are the two sides of the human brain: the rational and the instinctive one].

just witch the switch to the moode you like to be in :)

I guess Im mostley in Instictive mind. so I guess you dont prefere me :q

Instictive mind maybe dont care to collect exact data,
its good as enough to got the idea,

in proffession we need to use the rational thinking,
because we need more exact data to deal with.

In a society we need all parts I guess

Why not? I believe more in the individual freedom about this aspect of our existence than in standard models.

Instinctive mind is fundamental for a complete existence. Actually I'm not so "rational" as you could think ... take a look at this group. Creating it I haven't showed a total rational attitude ;)
