I can be a poem that you wrote....any type will do:)

My favorite poems are in Italian, to be accurate medieval Italian. I could mention "Laura" by Petrarca which begins with the description and a woman and it ends with a very deep image: "piaga per allentar d’arco non sana".

But I guess in this forum it would be difficult to appreciate them [a part for Italian members of course].

So I post a poem of mine, in English, about a woman.

So kind and sweet is that tender, young lady …
Her eyes are jewels with the sky inside.
My heart, my soul to surrender are ready
To that Angel who’s of heaven the pride.

Her tears: diamonds made by faith and trust,
Trust in the feelings of the chastity, pure.
She’s a vision which goes away so fast,
She’s a dream which we’ll remember for sure.

If you take a look in Kirk's group about poetry, you will find a lot of interesting works.

you are right LUCA, i found in kirk's group good poems, but i was just talking to a friend about this, i prefer the arabic poetry (which got very strict rules other than the english poetry which is very free..like the issue of rhythm isnt that important in english poetry (in arabic it's called free poetry..but it never taste's like the beautiful arabic poetry)

and since Luca started with personal poem, i'll put one of mine too :D (your the leader here Luca :P)

this poem i meant with it one girl whom i found no other girl similar to her, and sent it to her in a personal message, as i wasnt going to show it..but it's still running in my mind, so i prefer to get it out of my mind instead of being crazy

Great verses Tere, I know that Arabic poetry has got a great background and a long history.

The language sometime is a real trouble: it doesn't allow to appreciate in deep the fruits of different cultures. This is a pity.
